ABOUT ME

Megan Rountree As Seen On Food Network and TLC's Next Great Baker!

My love for baking began at an early age in my mother’s kitchen. Throughout college I found a true passion for making everything from cookie cakes for sorority functions, to custom birthday cakes for friends and family. Soon I realized I wanted to turn my passion into my career.

Upon graduating from Baylor University with a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship, I picked up and moved to Austin, TX to attend the Patisserie and Baking program from one of the premier culinary arts schools in the world, Le Cordon Bleu. Since graduating from the program in Austin, my life has been one big whirlwind of an adventure. I returned to Baylor and worked as the Head Baker for Baylor’s Catering Department, got married in May of 2010, and then almost immediately started my own custom cake and patisserie shop.

Some of you may have seen me previously on Food Network: Winner Cake All (WINNER), Food Network : Holiday Baking Championship and TLC’s new series the Next Great Baker. I hope you enjoy the craziness of competitions, drama and of course tasty treats! Please stop by to taste some of my creations and say hi!

Sincerely,
Megan Rountree
Cake Designer and Pastry Chef

MY GOAL

My goal as a patisserie chef and custom cake designer is to deliver to each of my customers a cake that is a perfect reflection of each person’s unique personality. I invest massive amounts of time and effort to stay on top of industry trends, skills, and techniques to deliver a cake that reflects the style and essence of your special day; be it elegant, whimsical, real life, or anything in between. I am also a firm believer that desserts should taste every bit as good as they look. Each cake will not only be a piece of art, but will be of the highest quality.
